1st Twyford Scouts Donkey Derby
Sun 6 June; King George V Field.
A fantastic afternoon was had by all at the Twyford scout's 16th Summer Fair and Donkey Derby. The weather was kind to us and there were crowds of people enjoying the stalls and entertainment. The Twyford Village Partnership would like to thank everyone who visited our stand and helped support our organisation with their donations or taking part in our raffle. We are delighted to have received record contributions of over £400 towards the 2010 Twyford Christmas Street Fayre. Our thanks also go to the groups and organisations who supported our stall, including Hare Hatch Sheeplands, The Twyford Advertiser, re3 waste and recycling, the Twyford & Ruscombe Local History Society, Twyford & Ruscombe Pre-School and all those who donated raffle prizes.
We handed out hundreds of copies of our walking map, but if you missed out then please visit Twyford Library to get your copy. As ever we would be delighted to welcome volunteers to our Action Groups to help us carry out the list of action points contained in the recently published Parish Plan 'Twyford 2020'.
